Eikonic Equipment – Gear and Recipe Overhaul v1.0
An equipment overhaul bringing more RPG elements to FFXVI! Every sword is now unique and progression has been reworked to be less linear and more open to player choice!
Final Fantasy XVI is currently lacking in RPG elements regarding Equipment besides Accessories. This mod was created to provide returning players a different experience, encouraging to switch weapons more often and to make use of each sword’s new unique effect.
Effects themselves were created to be much stronger than their respective accessories, allowing Clive to perform new SSStylish tech through reduced cooldown times, or giving players incentives to use their whole Eikonic arsenal, including Torgal and underused abilities such as Flare Breath.
Besides the unique special effects, each weapon of similar rank has the exact same combined power (ATK and Stagger), but damage might be distributed differently among these two stats.
Some weapons are quite overpowered for the time you get them in the game. This is a known issue, and it is due to the lack of upgrade stages mixed with the desire to make every weapon equal in the endgame. In the future, more upgrade stages might be added by the mod. For now, consider it your choice whether to make use of those weapons earlier than intended or not!
In the future, some changes might also be applied to belts and vambraces, or even accessories!
To accompany the weapon changes, gear progression has been reworked, and players will now have to make better use of their resources.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE TO CHANGE THE REGIONAL FORMAT OF YOUR OS TO AN ENGLISH ONE!
This is a Reloaded-II mod. FFXVI Mod Loader is also required.

SWORD CHANGES – NG
- Sparring Sword, Rosarian Oath and Imperial Infantry Blade are unchanged
- Basic swords get 100 ATK, 100 WIL
- +1 basic swords get 225 ATK, 175 WIL
- +2 basic swords get 350 ATK, 250 WIL
- Each basic sword gets a special effect:
-Broadsword gets increased Torgal damage (effect potency 500, cavall’s bite is 70)
-Longsword gets increased lunge damage (+200%)
-Bastard Sword gets increased combo damage (+200%)
-Gaia Blade gets increased downthrust damage (+200%)
-Platinum Sword gets increased magic will damage (+200%)
-Enhancer gets increased burning blade damage (+200%)
-Diamond Sword gets increased magic burst will damage (+200%)
-Rune Blade gets 0.4 seconds quicker charged magic
-Defender gets increased potion efficacy (+100%)
- Elemental swords get 150 ATK, 150 WIL
- Radiant elemental swords get 300 ATK, 300 WIL
- Each elemental sword gets a special effect:
-Stormcry gets reduced Rook’s Gambit cooldown time by 20 seconds (almost instant after a Gambit Counter)
-Flametongue gets +100% limit break gauge generation when attacking
-Levinbolt gets reduced Thunderstorm cooldown time by 20 seconds
-Grindstone gets reduced Upheaval cooldown time by 25 seconds (almost instant when used to block an attack)
-Brightburn gets reduced Flare Breath cooldown time by 20 seconds
-Icebrand gets reduced Mesmerize cooldown time by 9 seconds
-Everdark gets increased Heaven’s Cloud damage (+400%)
-Tidestrike gets reduced cooldown time for Abyssal Tear
- Invictus gets 300 ATK, 300 WIL and reduced Heatwave cooldown time by 15 seconds (almost instant after a Heatwave Counter)
- Coral Sword gets 200 ATK, 400 WIL and increased Zantetsuken generation with Dancing Steel by 100%
- Ancient Sword gets 400 ATK, 200 WIL and Escapement Bit effect
- Excalibur gets 300 ATK, 300 WIL and Revivement Bit effect
- Masamune gets 300 ATK, 300 WIL and +300% aerial combo damage
- Ragnarok gets 325 ATK, 325 WIL but no special effect
- Gotterdammerung gets 350 ATK, 350 WIL but no special effect
- Fallen Enforcer gets 400 ATK, 250 WIL but no special effect
- Omega Weapon gets 450 ATK, 250 WIL but no special effect
- Tonberry Knife gets 250 ATK, 450 WIL but no special effect
SWORD CHANGES – FF Mode
- Same special effects as NG sword changes for corresponding upgraded weapons
- +3 basic swords get 350 ATK, 350 WIL
- +4 basic swords get 500 ATK, 400 WIL
- Reforged basic swords get 625 ATK, 475 WIL
- Reforged elemental swords get 375 ATK, 375 WIL
- Reforged radiant elemental swords get 550 ATK, 550 WIL
- Invictus +1 gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
- Coral Sword Reforged gets 400 ATK, 700 WIL
- Ancient Sword Reforged gets 700 ATK, 400 WIL
- Excalibur Reforged gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
- Masamune Reforged gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
- Ragnarok Reforged gets 575 ATK, 575 WIL
- Gotterdammerung Reforged gets 625 ATK, 625 WIL
- Fallen Enforcer Reforged gets 700 ATK, 475 WIL
- Omega Weapon Reforged gets 775 ATK, 475 WIL
- Tonberry Knife +1 gets 475 ATK, 775 WIL
- Ultima Weapon gets 625 ATK, 625 WIL
- Original Sin gets 700 ATK, 700 WIL and increased raw damage (+5%)
RECIPE CHANGES – NG / FF Mode
- All grey / +3 basic swords (except for Broadsword) now cost 3500 gil each
- +1 / +4 basic swords (except for Diamond Sword) now require 500 / 1000 Wyrrite and their respective materials to craft from a grey / +3 basic sword
- Those requiring Magicked Ash, Valley Madder or Bloody Hide now require 200 / 400 of it
- +2 / reforged basic swords now require 1000 / 2000 Wyrrite (some of them might require 400 / 800 Magicked Ash, Sharp Fang, Bloody Hide or 200 / 400 Clutchmine) and 10 meteorites to craft from a +1 / +4 basic sword
- Elemental swords now do not require the previous sword to craft. They instead require story progression (same as vanilla) and 5 meteorites
- Icebrand and Tidestrike also require 1000 / 2000 Magicked AshEverdark also requires 1000 / 2000 Sharp Fangs
- Radiant elemental swords can now be crafted using their respective elemental sword, 15 meteorites and hunting materials (or Aquamarine):
-Radiant Stormcry now requires 15 Clouded Eye
-Radiant Flametongue now requires 6 Scarletite
-Radiant Levinbolt now requires 15 Coeurl Whiskers
-Radiant Grindstone now requires 1 Stone Tongue
-Radiant Brightburn now requires 25 Dragon Talon
-Radiant Icebrand now requires 2 Behemoth Shackles
-Radiant Everdark now requires 2 Darksteel
-Radiant Tidestrike now requires 4 Aquamarine
- Basic swords +1 / +4 now cannot be directly crafted
- Serpent Rings now cost 1 Aquamarine each instead of 2.
- Ultima Weapon now doesn’t require Everdark Reforged
- All other recipes are left unchanged
ITEM CHANGES – NG / FF Mode
- (Flawless) Meteorites now cost 4000 / 8000 gil
- Wyrrite, Magicked Ash, Bloody Hides, Valley Madders, Sharp Fangs, Clutchmines now cost 200 gil
- Darksteel now drops in packs of 2
- Scarletite now drops in packs of 2 (4 for the Fastitocalon hunt)
- Also, 2 are obtained instead of 1 from the Hot Water side quest
- Stone Tongue now drops in packs of 2
- Behemoth Shackle now drops in packs of 2 for the Kuza Beast and Masterless Marauder hunts (3 for FF Mode)
- Aruna now drops 5 Clouded Eyes, Gizamaluk now drops 10
- Gil Bugs, Black Blood, Gobin Coins, Empty Shards, Lumps of Amber, Fallen Enigmas, One Man’s Treasure now sell for 10x the price
- All other items are left unchanged
